Marcy graduated from St. Clare's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She obtained a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Dalhousie University, a Masters of Science in Community Medicine from the University of Edinburgh, and completed an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of Toronto. Marcy's practice background includes adult nursing in acute surgical, ambulatory care and primary care settings. Marcy has been in nursing education for 12 years. Since 1997, Marcy has been a faculty member in the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Marcy's areas of clinical interest include health promotion and breast health. Her research interests have focused on issues around breast cancer, mammography screening and the nurse practitioner role in primary health care settings.

 ‘2006’             Paper to be submitted on the clinical evaluation methods used in the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program (OSCE, RIME, Formative and Summative Evaluations).  (In collaboration with Dr. Ann Colbourne and Aruna Thampy – NP Faculty Member).
