The International Office, Centre for Nursing Studies, has bilateral projects between Canada and Nicaragua and Guatemala promoting primary health care nursing education. The projects use appropriate technology, enabling nursing distance education into the rural areas of the countries. CNS is also involved in nursing policy dialogue in these countries.

Proposals have been submitted to expand the scale of the existing projects and to expand into other countries in Latin America with similar projects.
