Intravenous Therapy Module

The purpose of this module is to provide the LPN with the necessary knowledge to safely care for a client receiving intravenous therapy and blood and blood products. This module will provide you with the additional theory regarding intravenous therapy that was not included in the medication administration course that you have successfully completed in the past.  This module will supplement your previous learning regarding medication administration.  This self-directed, learning module is divided into eighteen objectives.  Following successful completion of a theory exam on this module, the LPN will have to successfully complete a one day learning laboratory experience and a lab test.
