Cont. Ed. : Registered Nurse (RN) Re-Entry Program

The RN Re-Entry Program is an individualized program of instruction designed to meet the needs of registered nurses in the province who have been out of practice for a minimum of five years or for nurses who hold current registration but desire a review of nursing theory and clinical practice.

Successful completion of the program allows nurses to reapply for active licensure. This program is offered by distance and may be completed anywhere in the province.

Program Nursing Theory Modules

Learners must complete all modules in Theory A, B, and C, one specialty module, one clinical skills module and one clincial skills lab component.

Theory A   ( 2-month completion period )

Theory B   ( 6-month completion period )

Theory C   ( 4-month completion period ) Clinical Nursing Skills    ( 1-month completion period )

Nursing Specialty Modules    ( 1-month completion period )

Students have 2 years to  complete the entire program.

Program Fees

Program Completion

When learners have successfully completed the program, they are awarded a certificate from the Centre for Nursing Studies and Grant MacEwan Community College. The Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador is notified that the learner is eligible for relicensure.
