Immunization Module
The purpose of this module is to provide LPNs with the
necessary knowledge to safely prepare and administer immunizations through
various routes. This module offers additional theory regarding immunizations
that was not included in the medication administration course you have
successfully completed in the past. It will supplement previous learning
regarding medication administration through self-directed learning
methods. The learner will have to
successfully complete a theory exam on this module. (Learners must have successfully completed
content on intramuscular injections as well as intradermal injections within
their basic Medication Administration Course or through the post basic modules
available through the Centre for Nursing Studies. The Intramuscular Injection Module and
Intradermal Injection Module are prerequisites for the Immunization
module).
