The Nursing Research Office (NRO) was established in 2003 to support faculty research and scholarly activities, to foster nursing research interests in undergraduate students, and to promote collaboration amongst nurses, health care professionals, and agencies to enhance health care initiatives.  The NRO supports the collaborative efforts of nursing faculty and direct care practitioners to provide quality health care through research.  It also provides a forum for dialogue and collaboration amongst nurses working in all domains of nursing.

Strategic Goals of the NRO include:
  1. To support and strengthen research capacity within the Centre for Nursing Studies
  2. To network with and support practice nurses to develop best practice guidelines and make practice changes
  3. To increase the visibility of nursing research by building a nursing research infrastructure.
  4. To enhance Collaborative research within the discipline of nursing and between nursing and other health care members.
